Thread title. Is this the right sxn for this or is this more creative?
Performed in my first ever play a lead supporting role with close to 100 lines. There were even a few SAG and broadway in people involved but I ended up with that big of a role. Got approached for more work nothing big of course but I enjoy it and want to actually take classes and pursue more roles see if I can even get something on camera on streaming. Anyone ever pursued this even for fun? How could balancing this and a day job play out?

even some featured background work is a big deal imo maybe it’s because im still new but everyone contributes to telling a story

I did some sort of church joglar when i was a teen. And in high school, i did some rehearsal for a play, but, i didn't showed up to the performance, instead i was in the crowd making fun of the motherfuckers on stage - they hated it. 🗣💀🤡🤣

My brothers been taking classes for six months and one thing he does is write out the first letter of each word per line next to them on the script

What was the process like of you getting that role? Did you find out about it online?

when i was a kid i was with a talent agency with an agent and everything, would go to auditions all the time etc, only ever got booked for one commercial

would love to get back into it someday though

friend of mine suggested i go to a reading bc it was open casting and i make funny voices and impressions so maybe i could have a small role. ended having the second most lines in the production. this is off off off wayyy off broadway tho but there were some talented people i was on stage with. in total across all the showed i will have performed in front of 1200 people

That’s dope man. It could lead to connections for future roles. Once you’ve worked with a production once and it was all smooth they’ll definitely keep you in mind for their next production
