Im looking for new shows to watch and Ive seen the Sopranos pop by a couple times. I have no problem watching long shows, Im just easily turned off if I find something I don't like. If you've watched, how did you like it?

Another heads up, the kid actors that play the daughter's friend/the other kids at the son's school are really f***ing bad. Only noticeable in an episode focusing on the kids but still

    Yo OP.

It's the greatest show ever made.

There are a handful of weak episodes (that are still better than almost anything else and they really only show because everything else is so flawless) but overall it's the most consistent, well acted, funniest, darkest, most heartbreaking and brilliant piece of television ever made. I honestly don't think it can ever be topped. Only show I've ever watched the intro to every single episode as well, even though it's like two minutes long.

The second half of season 6 can be compared to anything in any medium. It's just an absolute masterpiece.

Unless you don't have an attention span than idk what to tell you. It's not a boring show at all but some people need their hand held. If you're looking for constant mob hits and titties you'll be disappointed.

If you want a darkly comedic look at American family life and the male psyche and a chilling portrait of how some people just can't change even though the world around them is, then you're in for a treat.

The thing is it's not a binge show either.

This is to OP: You're not gonna be feinding to see every episode cause they all leave off on some contrived cliffhanger. Each episode is it's own self contained story. Most of the major story archs kind of play out in the background. It's also so emotionally draining sometimes that you just need a break. I don't think I've ever watched more than three or four episodes back to back but it sticks with you.

There's no rush with the Sopranos. It's eternal

Eternal is right. It gets in your soul and plants itself there, takes root and stays with you forever.

There'll be your life before Sopranos, and your life after.

There will never be a show with such level of detail and quality.

The acting, writing, comedy, directing, music, and connectivity is just masterclass man.

The show will not hold your hand and it's not a "Mob" story. The bluntness or mundane moments may put you off but that is the exact point.

I wouldn't go so far to say my life straight up changed but I just mean in terms of the way you see art and TV in particular.

After you've seen The Sopranos you'll never see other TV the same again, much like with The Wire it's something that I end up judging everything against whether I like it or not.

Like they're so good that I barely get into other shows people gas up because they never compare to the goats

dont watch it, its the probably best show of all time and will prolly ruin other shows. i aint even tryna hype it up but only a few shows compare. it basically does everything right.

its deep without pretensions and its as hilarious as it is depressing.

best writing out of all tv, and best acting. to me, theres only a few weak minutes in the entire show

its def the most rewatchable series ever
