not right after smoking but I'll read when I'm coming down

it's cool, but my mind gets distracted when high so I feel like it's easier to keep track of characters and the stories when I'm sober

sometimes I'll read a chapter high and the next day have to skim through it to remind me what happened lol

did this not high but after a couple of drinks and I'm having an hard time understanding what is happening in that chapter

Yeah it's fun, I get super focused

once i was reading this book about the history of ESPN after smoking weed and it was the best reading experience i ever had i was so locked in

that seems like an outlier tho i think usually its distracting, and that book was pretty easily readable, the denser stuff def not to be read under the influence

I have trouble reading high, I could read half a book high just reading words and not comprehending. I’ll open it the next day and realize I remember nothing. I prefer just reading sober or after coming down to relax.

Never cared for it tbh, couldn’t focus or retain what I’d read.

yeah was just curious had similar experience to you also i notice if i’m listening to music while reading and high i tend to read along to the beat lol

I like reading comics high

One time when i was 14 i took an edible for the first time. I was freaking out but also lowkey/highkey having a great time. at the time i lived in a 2 bedroom apt w my mom - i had been staying in my room all afternoon w/out even leaving to get a snack or jus to check in - and this was obviously odd. when she came in to check on me i faked like i had a weird stomach bug and jus needed to keep "relaxing" ( ) and my high ass thought if i started fake-reading then i'd drive off any suspicion. i picked up catcher in the rye and istg at first i was holding dat bih upside down, then i started trying to read and i literally couldn't make sense of anything on the page

needless to say, reading while high as ballz is futile for me, on the come down/ a more mellow high it's kinda fun to get immersed in what you're reading though

For me it would be impossible

read some Heany poems high and was kinda into it the other day but it's rly rare I can focus on a whole page of words tbh, agree with most folks itt that it's rarely ever a good combo.

manga kinda bangs tho, Oshii x Kon one and Akira were p nice
