Judging by devs' response to what Draynilla said on stream, it's not just a rumor.
I really hope you won't have to buy weapons every round and they will change it in the final public version.

Also, low profile is removed from all Legends.
Triple take will be a care package weapon.
Skullpiercer is removed and there will be 2 new hop ups, Deadeye's Tempo for the bow and sentinel and Shatter Caps for the bow and 30-30. Worlds Edge in the 1st split, Olympus in the 2nd.

Passive: VTOL Jets - Jump while in the air to jetpack.
Tactical: Missile Swarm - Fire a swarm of mini-rockets.
Ultimate: Skyward Dive - Launch into the air and Skydive. Teammates can latch on.
