That’s a better way of putting it. Yes of course the M4 iPad Pro’s are better than a 2018 iPad Pro given the improved technology, but at the time the 2018 iPad Pro completely reinvented the iPad and it felt like a no-expense spared product. They made it as powerful as they could’ve done at the time.

The M4 iPad for as impressive as it is, is a step backwards given they removed the ultra-wide but kept an ugly and unnecessary camera bump, only Wi-Fi 6E not Wi-Fi 7, made it thinner when people would’ve appreciated a denser battery in the same shell, couldn’t make the Apple Pencil work with the repositioned front camera and put a binned version of the processor in the 256GB and 512GB models. OLED screen does look nice tho.

this macOS beta is running well for me. loving the roundness of everything. having a bunch of windows open feels cool.

One thing I’ve noticed is on unlock the top row of apps is slow to fall in from the top. Also hitches everywhere but that’s expected in the first beta.
