Craving news on this new MacBook Pro

Its got touch apparently

The vison pro has hand tracking, I always figured that would make more sense for Mac because for some reason Mac users complain that they dont want touch because of fingerprints on their screen Lol

Similar design to the current ones but slightly thinner and much lighter. OLED. Touch-screen. Carry-over M5 Pro/Max processors. Probably a few hundred $s more expensive. Announced Wednesday. I'm excited to see them!

Duo UI doesn't really bother me a ton but I think it 100% could use some adjustments. The sidebar straight up just takes up way too much space and limits the f*** out of the real estate on the screen. I simply don't care about seeing my wifi signal on the sidebar lol. I'd be more than fine with just swiping from some edge of the screen to see that information and I feel like many people share that same sentiment.

I feel like if they just give the option to hide the sidebar in general and enable a gesture to swipe from the right side of the screen to reveal it then people would be more than fine with it.

Thankfully this is all software and it's not off the table for Apple to tweak it or revamp it later down the line.

I don’t own a duo yet I always see the sidebar and think that could be a neat software feature down the line. Of course idk if it opens control center but it would make sense for it to be on the WiFi side on the duo

Control center is still the same gesture (swipe down from the top right corner) and feels very natural on the Duo. It’s just that the new sidebar seems kinda pointless and takes up so much space for no reason. It’s clean from an aesthetic perspective but in actual practice it’s not the best in terms of convenience or UI optimization. I can see why Apple decided to implement it because of the smaller form factor but I think there’s better ways they could have gone about it.
