am i giving my computer an STD
its not a permanent slow down but Chrome leaks RAM in my experience and just consumes more space the longer you run it, if you don't restart your machine every couple hours it will get worse
once your RAM fills Mac OS starts using the SSD for temp storage so your bottlenecking the computers peak performance
it really depends though what you're doing if you have 16GB of RAM and are just using Chrome it will be enough but if you start opening other s*** it gets tight after long enough
