DirtySo this is my first phone without the home button…. I’ve gotten used to almost everything and I like it
But the absolute most annoying thing is…. Trying to close apps… having to swipe like halfway up the screen to bring up all the open apps, it never works for me, I have to swipe like 5 times….
With the home button you just pressed it twice and all the apps came up…. I close all of them in a second… now it’s a pain in the ass
Is this the only way to do it?
Just remember a fast swipe will take you home and a slow one will bring up app windows. It doesn’t need to be a large gesture either, just a cm or so is enough.
One of those things that’ll take a couple days to get used to and then you’ll forget all about the home button

You only have to hold it up an inch, not the whole screen lmao
I think you just don’t know how to do it and aren’t use to it lol

Swipe up and PAUSE before releasing to get multitasking. Doesn’t need to be for long at all, just make sure you’ve paused your finger after the swipe up motion before releasing

my pinky not used to holding up this heavy ass phone lol
Ong my pinky has a permanent dent in the middle of it cause I’ve been holding these damn phones up since the xs max

i like it, plus can slide up on the search bar to go to all tabs
i just wish they had a quick gesture to close current tab like chrome instead of holding the tab button

Did you have the messages checked in your iCloud settings? It used to not be an option to check, it was just automatically backed up by default

If you backed up everything on iCloud, you could probably get away with doing the phone nerby transfer thing. My mom did that last year and I was blown away how easy it was to do that. Everything on her old iPhone went straight to her new iPhone
The only reason I chose to do a physical back up on my computer is cus I’m scared everything will get deleted on the iCloud by accident or something lmao
So to be safe and have a SURE THING, I always back up on my computer
Plus, I download all my music so I have no choice but to do that on my computer
This is the main reason why when I worked at Apple the very first thing we stressed to customers was a back up. Makes the process so, so much easier.
