The M1 Max in the 16" is heavier than the M1 Pro

Also the charger on the 16" is way bigger like 45%

This makes me think maybe the 16" has much beefer cooling and hits higher clock speeds if they're making adjustments and uped the watts to 140w

If you're doing intense workloads the more money for the 16" makes a lot of sense, it's not even much more once you match specs like someone itt already said

yea M1 Max option kinda has me doing mental gymnastics right now.

I’m considering because there’s better cooling in them and it will be a beast doing any video work for the next 10 years easily.

But yeah if I get into a “just 200 more, oh just 100 more” I will get rinsed. The 16 inch M1 Pro 32GB RAM seems overkill already in my books

the GPU is already pretty crazy on the M1 Pro
if I didn't need 3 external Displays I prob would have gotten it
but yeah if your doing lots of editing prob not a bad idea

No, it can't for me. Some dumb s*** about 'some locations are restricted by law' even though this feature never existed before 2020 and some peers who live in the same area as me can turn this s*** off.

what that makes no sense

same size screen as the current 16" if you don't count the menu bar

so it will be bigger, dark mode and a black background gonna make it disappear
