no bootcamp
keep
why would you wanna run windows 🤮🤮🤮
like besides gaming lol.. and i rarely ever wanna game on my macbook tbh have a desktop for that
i’d much rather have a 16 core arm based laptop with 20 hours battery over an intel one that dies in an hour doing anything intensive, overheats and drops the clock speed down all the time..
also boot camp drivers are trash
thunderbolt drivers cause a massive memory leak all the time, i don’t get why someone would buy a mac for boot camp when there are windows machines with much better amd hardware with proper driver support that are 1/5th the price
and bootcamp could make a return once arm for windows is for sale in a few years

i do music and all programs and plugins are easier to crack on windows
but i love macos too much i would never buy a windows laptop
so yeah s***ty thermals is the tradeoff for being able to run both os'

Big fact, an Apple based chip would make the machine so much more smoother than it is. I literally held off on grabbing the 2019 Pro this summer because of this.

yeah it’s going to be a much better experience intel chips are so outdated, it’s hardware from 2016
intels ipc core scaling over 4 cores is awful
an amd or apple arm cpu with 8 cores has like twice the performance of an 8 core intel chip in multithreaded applications

i produce in ableton and i can’t imagine using windows when plugins are usually so much better optimized on mac os
also the way the audio driver is handled in windows is a cluster f*** and i’ve always had audio issues even with high end thunderbolt ais
but yeah cracks are easier to find on windows that’s definitely a plus
Just copped the AirPod Pros....wow
These may be their best overall product when it comes to usability and convenience.
Im really impressed with big sur, i just cant stand the look of it. Im trying to get used to it but idk if i ever will

i've wanted to fully migrate to mac os for years if all my plugins had mac versions and i had cracks i would do it in a heart beat
Just got a iMac (2007) donated to me. All it has is the power cord. What peripherals would I be needing for this thing? Tryna use it as a practice tool for iOS/MAC and improving my IT skills.

idk if this is the place to ask but if anyone is good with icloud related s***, is there a way to reset my ipad to be connected to my icloud account without all my imessages downloading to it? i have a smaller GB ipad than my iphone so all my messages fill up my ipad, but if i delete messages on the ipad they delete from everywhere else because imessage syncs across devices now?

should just be able to go into your iCloud settings on your iPad and turn off Messages, I think?
