There is a minor upgrade coming at the end of the year. Just some security updates and webcam upgrades according to rumors.

As for specs, If you're mainly getting it for music & video editing. I'd keep the base processor and just upgrade the memory to 32 GB. You'll be more grateful for it years down the line, trust me. The 16 will be okay but give it some time and you'll wish you'd spend the extra money for the 32.
