Bought an iPhone 7 for aesthetics and I’m going through it with this battery life

I just want them to drop a new iteration of AirPods Max because goddamn I can’t stand the current ones. I got them a couple months after release and returned them within a few days

So I’ve been absolutely loving my M1 Mac mini (16/512, nice and affordable for the power) as the brain of my music setup. Logic runs like a dream and I’m able to handle plenty of fx on 8 tracks of audio plus another couple midi per project. Absolutely no complaints for the past year with that setup.

Then I got booked for my first show a month and a half ago. I migrated to my 2017 MBP (16/512 as well, but i5 2.3 GHz) and my old 4 track interface for portability and jeeeeeez this sucks lmao. Logic takes a good 2 mins to boot up, bouncing takes forever, I’m even getting audio dropouts occasionally with literally one (1) stock compressor on one audio track chained to the other track and a stock EQ on both. I mean what the f***

A week to go and we’ll see how this thing handles on stage, but absolute worst case I can just line everything into the PA and sacrifice the sidechain. Regardless, Apple you motherfuckers that M2 air looks damn good right now as a cheap replacement if I end up playing more shows with this setup.

Or a nice base level MBP 14”, but that’s $2k minimum for the ability to take what I have at home for $900 refurbished on stage. My cheap ass doesn’t like that calculus

Years of photos and videos from concerts. I also shared it with other people. I guess I’m in the minority.

S*** yeah I guess so, I have 34k photos over the last ~15 years and I’m still only using up 500GB total. 250GB from photos, 50GB from messages, 50GB on iCloud Drive and a bunch of random stuff

I did have to offload a bunch of a videos to external storage a while back - clips from concerts, skate footage of me and my friends etc - but that’s just because the 1TB SSD on my Mac was full (I choose not to optimize storage and thus my full music and photo libraries get downloaded to my Mac)

I’m about 3/4 of the way there from Logic projects I gotta get those onto a drive asap

Honestly wish you could upgrade past 2TB
