I just got the normal m1 MBP 13" from 2020, normally 1500 got it for 999

Granted I could have gotten a PC Laptop with 64GB Ram for same price but the battery life on this It really does get 20 hours if I'm not on Logic f***ing around

Do I take my 12 Pro over and hold off for the 15 Pro and risk a reduced discount when it drops? Or do I upgrade to the 14 Pro when I switch and get the phone virtually for free sooner

OR if I get the phone basically free in January, would I be able to trade up to the 15 in September

Wouldn't usually do this but I mean it would make sense. My 12 Pro's battery is getting worse but I don't think that I could get the free Battery replacement until it goes below 80%

Get the 14 for free and then trade it in for the 15 and pay basically nothing for that. Those carrier trade in deals are usually crazy at launch. Just make sure you don’t have some stipulation where the 14 isn’t being paid off from bill credits that are gonna go away as soon as you trade it in for the 15
