I just copped the 16 inch to replace my 2015 15”. Figured I could wait...but it’d just be outdated the year after anyway lol

I gotta replace my 2012 13" bro, I was about to cop one early August but was told to wait for the next one since there would be significant changes

lets hope we get the first Apple Silicon Macbook in October also can't wait to see the redesign

Would you say there are any foreseeable issues with the silicon processor and are there any differences for the user with the new processor?
Pretty much trying to figure out if Im better off buying a Mac pro now with the intel chips or if i should wait out for Apple's silicon processors

does iOS usually drop at midnight?

  • Sep 15, 2020

ipad air + magic keyboard is $100 cheaper than lowest priced macbook air, equal price if you get a student discount on the macbook (unless the ipad air is elligible for one as well)

it's hard to know for sure but I think there will be some issues with software & probably some different mac thunderbolt accessories

it will depend though a lot of devs already are working closely with apple to solve these issues before launch

any software that isn't moved away from Intel will still run via a layer of code that translates it but those apps will probably have some bugs and run slower but all the major apps are going to be moved over to Apple chips by launch

if you have some apps you need that aren't as popular though that could be a problem

I'm personally going to wait and see how the roll out goes with these machines but I also have Ableton & 140 VSTs I use all the time I can't have breaking.. if your just going to be doing web browsing and some other basic things I wouldn't even worry about it tbh

the benefits mainly are battery life, the battery life should be 2x-5x
and performance/speed should destroy the overheating outdated intel chips in the macbooks & imacs

iPad Air still not 120hz or above 256GB, still sticking with my 2017 500GB iPad Pro

    With my A10X chip
