Broski yall know any cool must have apps?
Freeform comes installed but it’s basically like a mood board
So I bought some new AirPod Pros 2nd generation about 3 weeks ago. I ended up losing the case at work. I still have the actual AirPod’s though. The case had USB-C charging port.
On my old AirPod Pros, I’m pretty sure they’re 2nd generation as well, the case is a Lightning charging port. The problem though the new AirPods don’t seem to charge in the old case? Is that by design, or is there something I need to do to get them to charge?
I can confirm the case still does work, still charges up my old AirPod Pros. Wanna know if it’s by design before I f*** around and order a new case
Might have to cop a new case
took about 2 weeks of my process before I really had the fans on this M1 Pro going
Need some help.
Gonna travel a lot the next two years and I need a laptop for video editing (GH5 footage in 4k 8bit or 10bit) and Lightroom/Photoshop. I work with large files up to 50MP and with many layers. For video I use mainly Premiere Pro and want to get into DaVinci Resolve. Would Final Cut be better suited for a Mac?
But my main question is: Will a M1 Macbook Pro with 32 GB show a huge upgrade to my 11 years old Windows PC (32GB RAM as well)? I'm based in Germany and the new generation seems unaffordable for me who doesn't get any money for the projects. It's just a hobby as of now.
I'm not planning yet on working with any crazy RAW video codec like from a RED camera. No Blender or After Effects. I just shoot mainly GH5, use some editing layers for color grading, grain, and stuff. I make music videos, no short films.
I might get into programming or accounting, any job that allows me to work remotely. Also interested in music production.
I'm someone who likes to keep his computer for at least 5-7 years. Been using my PC for more than a decade and it still works fine, but it can't play my Premiere Pro 4K timeline smoothly at all. To the point I have to export the project to assess it. It also still runs Windows 7 LOL.
So do you think a Macbook Pro M1 (Pro or Max?) will be sufficient and will show a major performance upgrade? The modt important thing to me is longevity and smooth replay in my video editor.
Copped the deal for $200 airpod pro 2nd gens with applecare included. This a good deal right?
Upgrading from my airpod pro 1st gen that buzzes

For those that have the Iphone 15 pro max, how do you guys like it so far?
Planning on buying it soon.
Just got iPhone 15 pro 256g and the battery is like mehhhh
Feels better than the 14pro I had but we will see how it ages, 14pro battery aged terribly

Been a couple weeks on my M2 Pro and I'm still not even convinced this thing has fans

I really feel bad for them in a way, you basically gotta be doing some supercomputer s*** to need any of the MBPs they’re putting out going forward
Anyone got a good Time Machine drive option? I've got an NVME SSD that I use as a quick transfer device to bring projects to friends' places that I'm debating if I want to just wipe and use for a Time Machine, but if anyone's got a rec for a portable 2TB drive ideally $100 or under I might just spring for that instead.
Eyeing this sandisk but feels like it could be overkill for a dedicated Time Machine drive: bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-extreme-portable-2tb-external-usb-c-nvme-ssd-black/6427551.p?skuId=6427551

Great corner for us as consumers for them to have painted themselves into tbh
My use case is music production and light graphic work (never simultaneously) and I was skeptical that 16GB on the M2 Pro would be enough, but god damn. It absolutely blows the i5 I came from out of the water. I'm running ShaperBox and multiple Valhalla plugins on 8 live audio tracks through a Scarlett with a handful of instances of Alchemy and some external VSTs (17 total in my most recent project) and haven't had to freeze or bounce a single time. That'd be wild on a desktop, but to be able to pack it up and mix on the go and not have to charge for like 3 days even with ProMotion on is like magic.

Feels nice in the hands, I thought the 14 pro was fast but this makes that seem so slow, the camera is an upgrade imo and the usb c charging is convenient

do you think the pro max is worth it? or is the pro enough?
This is my first iphone.

Depends on if you like a bigger size or not, go to the Apple Store and feel both, see what’s more comfortable in your hands

this is more of a personal preference than a spec question since the biggest difference is the size disparity or also if you really want more battery life
Go to a store and make sure you are comfortable with the size/weight/usability and bear in mind you'll likely be holding it for extended periods of time

14-inch M1 pro with 32 GB ram is about as good as it gets for video editing
M1 Max would have more performance for things like 3D rendering, also would have slightly faster export times

Innnnteresting. What say you about an alternative? I’m hesitant to use an HDD as I’d like something portable. For the matter, what the hell will possibly read every bit on a multi terabyte device? Not doubting this but kind of surprising.

WD passport is pretty good for backups
If you want as small as possible you can try a basic 2.5-inch drive with an enclosure from amazon (what i do). HDDs are also really cheap

Thanks a ton
gonna look into a SATA situation, that seems most cost-effective for something with USB-C
