How when IYRTITL is so many peoples fav Drake album?

I don’t really like getting into the “is ____ a classic” overdrawn debate but there’s no way that TC is not a classic and it just kind of confounds me how people do mental gymnastics around it. I get it the album itself may not be for everyone (just like with any album) but that album literally checks all of the boxes of what a quintessential classic album has.

Then why is take care still charting?
Longevity and cultural impact define what a classic is more than subjective arguments like what the quality of the music is to you

Considering all those albums are better than TC I'd say that's right.

i've never thought that specific section was all that accurate or necessary but all the projects in OP belong besides TML in my opinion. they're essential.

The loosies were the best songs from that time so it’s the reason why I say era. Add those on TC and replace a few tracks from the current version and that’s the classic. I think it’s a really good album though.

i feel like it's being turned into an opinion based thing which its the exact opposite of. Views was his biggest era to date, biggest songs. it's probably the most "essential" by definition. it doesn't have to be everyone's favorite, that's not the point of the section.

Yeah and that’s completely understandable I would never feel like you should force someone to like something. I just feel like to me and based on what the common perception it is.
