This is actually really good

His wife didn't leave him cause he was a great husband. They both had very strict conservative values but would sometimes adopt liberal ideas or opinions.

Ngl not about to watch a 10min clip but I did watch the first five minutes and it was literally coach Taylor scolding his assistant for five minutes for being a racist..

also smash did nothing wrong in the second video?

racism/verbal harassment is wrong.. but so is using violence. It’s other ways to deal w racists than just beating the s*** out of them. coach tryna turn these boys into respectable men/role models. you gotta be smarter and let s*** slide or handle things in a civil manner if you tryna be a future star.

Which still resulted in him taking his side anyway, he clearly didn't care enough to do something about it. The writers also fail in properly holding the assistant coach accountable for what he said, instead they use an opposing team to redeem the assistant coach.

I've heard good things about this show

being civil? lmfao f*** that bro, nothing is sweet if you're throwing racial slurs towards me and my sister. Coach Taylor could have stood up for smash instead he did exactly what everyone else did. Coach is pretty oblivious to the struggles and this is properly addressed in the third season.
