Apple could have conveyed the same message without causing intense fear among such huge number of people.

    What fear?

People act like they never heard a 9/11 call

  • This should lowkey be a feature on every mobile device

imagine a Gun ad where they would put recordings of people calling 911 and they are asked if they can defend themselves somehow and they say 'no I don't have any gun or weapon'

yeah I get that but still, I find it a bit eerie, it's like making a car ad and showing how protected it is then showing other car accidents

This happens all the time with car ads

I used to sell them at my old job and a lot of older people would come in to buy them specifically as a health device. It does a lot of tracking and monitoring that some people with various conditions or diseases find very helpful

man I'm not saying the product is bad or not working, I'm just saying there's million of other ways to promote these products without tapping into real life examples of people in near-death situations

they do the same during their annual apple events when they announce new watches

i think promoting something that can be lifesaving by showing how it saved a life is good

i want to get one for my parents when theyre older aswell bc of the lifesaving features

This isn’t a new tactic at all it’s how Apple has marketed their products since the dawn of time

“People don’t buy what you do they buy why you do it”

Other companies sell the What & How, and expect the consumer to come up with the Why.

Apple sells the Why and leaves the What & How to the end, sometimes not even mentioning the product in the ad itself, just the Apple logo.

There’s nothing wrong with showing how a device’s features are applicable in real-life scenarios.
