I feel you but all this you choose your path stuff falls on its head when you realize there are still child slaves around the world

I'm not sure that a perspective of appreciation falls flat, but is rather bolstered by the horrible suffering that others face

we're living someone's – likely millions if not even billions of people's – dream lives, so we better not take it for granted

it's likely you can't have much impact on conditions of slavery happening on the other side of the world, but it's likely you can positively impact people in your city who are suffering to a degree somewhere between those slaves and yourself

  • I need this message rn. Thank you plants. I have a hard time keeping a positive attitude and once I realize that there are lots of people care about me and I got a family that loves me, I always wanna break down and cry because I don't live my life like it's worth waking up to and I don't take enough advantage of the time I do have. I have more control over my life than I realize and can do more than just hope for the best.

50% of your life will be pain and suffering, it's unavoidable.
The other 50% is up to you

id go so far as to make the distinction between pain and suffering. like the buddhist story of the second arrow. pain is inevitable, it's that first arrow. suffering is the second arrow of our own minds creation
