let em know or whatever cause they was looking at me crazy when I tried to say it was a very relevant album
Always a top selling vinyl
Always in the Apple Music top 200 unlike every other album itt
Do I Wanna Know most iconic guitar riff of the 2010s
Not a single miss on the entire album with incredible replay value
yo what you think of their last record? been revisiting it lately and I really fw the direction they took on it
I pretty much liked it from the get go and it's only grown on me since then.
They executed what they wanted very well I feel like. The tides have already seemed to turn reception wise for it so in a couple years I think people who were not on board might be.
I mean they very much took a very left turn isolating the people who jumped on the bandwagon from AM, but I respect that a lot because they could've made AM 2 and be the biggest band in the world so
it's truthfully one of their best tame impala fans are just backwards
I liked couple the singles but yeah when come to the album stopped listening to it when it released
Borderline was one best songs of 2019 though
my favorite recent indie rock album would be Purple Mountains - Purple Mountains. Rip David Berman.
that’s a great one
Hope you find a soul someday
if liking The Suburbs is a requirement for having a soul, i don’t want one lmao

The problem that happened with The Slow Rush is that the album was kind of made to be played at festivals and in settings where having that kind of environment would've lent itself to the music, but in turn that never happened because of COVID so it just kind of got forgotten.
Hopefully, the album will resurge and find popularity after its release like Currents did because it is a really good album and it kinda sucks that he couldn't tour it.

Sad human
Sad human
humans have souls, I’m just a lifeless husk with superior taste in music

The initial reception to it is pretty wild. Like in a lot of aspects it's just as palatable as AM just in a completely different direction. I feel like this just has everything ppl would fw on paper with the super chill arrangements and Alex being more laid back/ironic in his songwriting, but ppl don't wanna give him his flowers
come on b a photo of a car aint boner material
It’s the colors bro, get a sense of design
you listen to this?
i love wil toledo but let’s be honest he’s not doing anything new. he’s a white singer songwriter with great tunes. their last album is proof that sound can only go so far.
not to say he can’t make another good to great album, but his sound is by no means pushing boundaries or evolving the genre. that’s not a bad thing, but he’s not saving rock.
please do not listen to his latest album, you will be bored to death
kinda knew that but wanted to be fair to tame impala fans lol
you have a point there but at least some of the time kevin puts his own spin on his influences, part of the reason why lonerism and currents and so good imo
that’s true, i wasn’t tryna completely dsiscredit his work. it’s good stuff that’s why it’s popular but i’m just not interested in this (insert decade) revival trend. it doesn’t move music forward.
i noticed that on ktt everyone dipped on them literally
but pitchfork still giving it a good review
that’s pitchfork for u tho so idk why im sayin this crine
lol
I hope they bounce back I’m listening to funeral rn and gatdayum it’s easily one of the best debuts of the 21st century
