    I think a good base would be some lineman/monkey boots from redwings/McCoy’s/yohji yamamoto and a well tailored military brand from a curated vintage shop with a good return policy.

    Once you have this you can start picking out the rest of your wardrobe from vintage spots or online and slowly add pieces to your wardrobe that go together. It’s just important that the bottom half fits since this makes or breaks the outfit.

    I got a lot of Fostex bombers in my cart rn but what I’m really looking for is a good pair of cargos. Y’all got any recommendations? I really wish I didn’t miss out on these Colette Hyatt engineer pants:

    Depends on what type of fit you’re looking for—my fav cargos I’ve got are a slim fit pair of wool ones but they’re a real classic look, not so much like the insta flare/baggy stuff that’s in rn

    Oh I gotcha, flares aren’t really in my comfort zone so I been thinking about trying something new. I do like baggier cargos and technical pants though.
