Never been into Artic Monkeys mainly because back in 2011-2013 my (ex) girl kept swooning over Alex Turner and I've hated him ever since.

Older and better now - will give it a listen.

But yeah very good album as always from them.

I'll always like their rock stuff more, but I get artists grow and they've dropped 4 classics so they can do whatever at this point

His evolution, along with the bands is really something special. I was watching the live show they just dropped on YouTube last night and hearing the old songs mixed with the new and everything else in between is just a total mind f***. I just can’t believe it’s the same band in the best possible way. I mean they could have EASILY milked this s*** for all its worth several times and just maroon 5 themselves into irrelevancy until they become like one of those paintings you see on the wall in the lobby of a doctors office but they’ve actually decided to be artist and they’ve been that way from the jump and their discog is all the better for it.

Had high hopes with the single but it was just okay to me sadly.

Still somewhat enjoyable though.

it's the cheeky playful lyrics and the bleeding in of the guitars and drums at certain points that pull it off I think.

yeah it's shocking, I got into them because of Tranqulity Base (now one of my favorite albums oat) and was surprised at how different their first two albums were. The debut doesn't really do it for me, but I do f*** with Favorite Worst Nightmare.

AM is mid and their least interesting album

Felt the same way. Solid album but not the most engaging front to back. Maybe it'll grow on me
