So I’ve given this 5 full listens and yeah…. I’m completely in love with this So many wonderful moments and I truly love every single song. It’s so perfectly concise and I love how the strings are incorporated, sometimes it really felt very baroque which I personally love, like the title track is almost some Forever Changes s*** This somehow exceeded my insane expectations and I’m so happy. I can understand how this could be a little unappealing to some of the diehard fanbase, which I understand tbh, but I love seeing artists I’ve loved for a long time grow and make what they’re fully passionate about. God if they do more than half these songs on tour And honestly, I’ve seen some complaints about Alex’s writing being lackluster at points but I completely disagree. It’s just changing shape to fit the style, there’s so many good lines and moments on here, I think people just have to let it sink in

seeing twitter fuming that this isn't the rock they grew up with, can't say I relate as I showed up to the party late but the band is just not for them anymore tbh they're mine now

honestly this might clear TBHC (which is my favorite arctic monkeys album) but i need to listen a few more times to make sure im not being hyperbolic

the production on sculptures of anything goes is something else man

This has some of my fav production/instrumentation they have ever done, my only complaint is that Alex Turners vocals all kind of mesh together right now where they used te be more versatile in their earlier work

But man can't lie, this really sounds beautiful. Defenitly in a similar soundscape as Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Probably not for the fans of their first few albums
