Yeah, had to briefly look up what all the fuss is about. She was basically an illegal immigrant

    https://twitter.com/nndjavanese/status/1351092816567541761

    Pretty much sums it up.

She can kiss my ass with that last part tho

Shawty was also tryna paint Bali and Indonesia as some sort of paradise for the LBGTQ community which is apparently also incorrect.

Argentina. It's a beautiful country and the dollar conversion benefits me a lot but the economy, crime, and parts of the culture can be a challenge. I plan on moving back to the states in a few years to start a family

NVM, they hate niggas over there, and also refuse to know English because of a dumb island

People can move wherever they like (if they can afford it). What I do find a bit annoying is that while people from first world countries can just pack up and go for the sake of it, first world countries make it extremely difficult for qualified people from 3rd World countries to move there and improve their own lifestyles.

Yeah I think it might be more forgivable for an immigrant in the u.s to overstay their visa and not pay taxes just off how rigorous the procedure is when compared to u.s immigrants in 3rd world countries

not gonna argue the first point for a few reasons, but Argentina actually has the highest English proficiency in all of Latin America

Exactly. Show's you the mindset/stereotypes we apply to societies. People from 3rd world countries want to be legal, tax paying citizens and enjoy a decent standard of life but so many barriers prevent them from achieving this yet people (not everyone) from first world countries move to 3rd world countries and want a free ride.

just @ me next time OP. I did this myself and have a much higher quality of life in a third world country. I recognize I'm taking advantage of my privilege but it comes with sacrifices too. as long as you're respectful of the culture you're assimilating to, there's nothing to be ashamed of

    twitter gon twitter tho

When you moved, did you recognize a visible wealth disparity between you and the locals ?

And what made you wanna move if you dont mind answering

I spent 6 months traveling through South America and met my girlfriend in Argentina. we hit it off and she convinced me to move here to her hometown (was already entertaining the idea). 4 years later we're planning on leaving the country in the next few years

my first two years here were difficult as I relied on the local economy. I was working my ass off at English institutes and barely made it to the end of the month. then I started freelancing online and getting paid in dollars which allowed me to live very comfortably, tho I'm frugal and never flaunt my money

moving here definitely gave me a new perspective on poverty. it's a constant worry here for most people yet they find a way to survive and still enjoy life. biggest difference in wealth disparity I recognize here is the inability to save and how most young adults are forced to live at home

As long as they pay taxes, respect the culture somewhat and don't spread their american brain-rot, it's fine.

That’s exactly what they’re not doing

I think it’s acceptable if person is going back to their mother country since you have some connection to the land

But people moving from first world country to third country and not getting offered good job is some weirdo s***

I just don’t see the point tbh unless you’re going to build business or something why would you purposely move somewhere that’s probably more difficult to start a family
