justice 4 Oluwatoyin Salau. but I keep seeing this narrative on twitter that we don’t speak up enough and i think wtf are people talking about but maybe we don’t give enough attention to them
Idk. I gotta see who are the women saying this tbh. There’s ALOT of anti black men, black women on twitter
Meh, I would argue that cases like George Floyd, Philando Castile, etc only receive more attention because they were caught on tape, making them easier to spread. Then again, the Trayvon Martin case wasn’t caught on tape and was still highly publicized so who knows

Some black women on twitter deadass scare me. Their fury knows no bounds.
Sexism is a problem across all ethnicities, but I think this is more the result that violence against black men being a more frequent thing than black women.
too much solidarity at once they're trying to turn everyone against eachother and it's working and what's eem crazier is the fact they didn't have to try.
also no black men aren't less vocal about the wronging of black women it's sickening people are literally weaponizing toyin's death against black men.

This too, Black men encounter police far more often than black women. Men in general encounter police more often regardless of race.
It’s just like “black on black violence”. Violence toward black women is significantly more likely to be perpetrated by a black man, and won’t be viewed the same as violence stemming from racism.
So... the short answer is, yes, 100%. It just has nothing to do with the movement taking place right now and is just a symptom of ongoing attitudes toward women that aren’t unique to black people whatsoever.

The hoes on twitter will attack black men every chance they get, s*** don’t surprise me anymore.
they take chance situations and prop it up as the norm
saying black women lives matter literally is dividing the narrative, what happened to unity

same mfs tryna look like angela davis on social media will call the police on their significant other in moments of anger

Before these current protests popped off I saw a tweet where a black woman was like “the police aint killing you niggas fast enough” in reference to black men and it had hella likes and retweets. That’s when I knew Twitter was a scary place.
Some of the hate on black men is in a way understandable because misogyny is also a thing among black men, but a good part of it is because of black women buying into white feminism, which doesn't exactly have a good history with black men, to put it lightly.

Black men failing black women is a byproduct of society failing us both.
that’s not an excuse
They started calling black men “bullet bags” as some kind of slur that s*** kinda hurt my feelings ngl
y’all capped asl if you think the plight of the black woman isn’t ignored by black men. like do some research dawg. this is not new news.
it isn't an excuse reread what im getting at.

All of that needs to be addressed forsure but a common theme im noticing with these accounts is they are most likely not even bw trying to cause this divide. It’s always some generic photo of a bw they found on the internet and their tweets all always negative towards bm, or some Barbie photo (you’ll never find a legit photo or multiple photos showing it’s a real person).shits spooky like it’s some hidden agenda to make us hate each other
