You’re off the deep end on this one, man

What does this have to do with excusing systemic racism other than one guys twitter anecdote?

I was talking about the black women who stay quiet or even justify racist police killings that EMY was talking about.

You don't have to try to explain to me that sexism is also an issue among black men.

This is true also. Just saying in this particular issue black women don’t have it worse.

but see that’s the thing, they don’t even bring it up about police brutality. in the case op talking about, that girl was killed by a black man.

that’s why i don’t get how people think this is taking away from the movement. it’s almost an entirely different fight.

But yes black men are less vocal about injustices against black women. That obviously doesn't mean that black women should be quiet about injustices against black men as a reaction.

ehhhhhhh but it kinda does my g

let me add allegedly to that post cause we don’t know for sure. but if you know about her last days it’s likely.

Not at all lol, it means that black men should be put under pressure to be more vocal about injustice towards black women. Violence towards black men directly affects black women too, so even if you took a 100% selfish approach, you're hurting yourself too.

I mean black women definitely don’t get the worst of it when it comes to police brutality. Black men are literally 20 times more likely to be killed by police than black women.

they get the worst of it on different sides of the spectrum
    bridge the gap ffs

    Sexism is real

Women always come second to men & it’s worse for black women because all of society already looks down black men

    It makes me very sad

  • Jun 15, 2020

    Yes it’s sad but true

  • EMY

They started calling black men “bullet bags” as some kind of slur that s*** kinda hurt my feelings ngl

I say this sparingly but any black person who says "bulletbag" and wishes death on innocent black men is a COON

It's a context thing to me. You can say black women's lives matter when it comes to rampant s***trafficking, violence and social discrimination against them without being divisive. However you could also be some idiot on twitter trying to hijack BLM on some radical feminist s***.

this i can get behind as opposed to the run of the mill "your opinion doesn't align with mine so you're stupid"

  • Jun 15, 2020

Imma be real with y'all I see a lot of comparing going on and I want y'all to understand this s*** ain't a competition. We are not going up against black women for the title of most oppressed. Black women are absolutely not trying to say black men aren't oppressed either. The truth is black women are absolutely more vulnerable than black men. The reason why you see posts like this is because of the long history of misogyny and neglect towards black women in our community when it comes to their voices being heard in the past. Whether it's abuse, sexual assault, or any other persecution, they get less attention and their concerns are made smaller than everyone else's. Of course it's gonna come to the point, after seeing nothing really change for them, where they will overwhelmingly make it known that they aren't getting enough reciprocation for the fighting they do or they aren't protected enough and that black men have failed them when it seems as though the only ones that hear them or care about them are themselves

But how do they feel pressure if not by consequences?. Black women spoken out for years from the Panthers to gangster rap on how they feel mistreated.

While it does bother me the idea of them leaving us hanging I understand if they they think the best way too shoe us how needed they are is by boycotting our issues the way we do the system.

Black men as a whole haven't given black women many options and don't seem interested on giving any.

Lol b****es spend more time tearing their nigga down & then blaming him for not f***ing with her. But spend 0 time working on them and their own s***. Worried about the wrong s*** most the time....

Definitely. Black women for the most part ride so hard for black men when it comes to the injustices we face. The BLM was started by 3 black women. It’s never really the same when it’s black women being the victims. Just look at the difference in support between Taylor and Floyd. I don’t mean to come off divisive is just it is what it is

BLM isn't a black male issue its a black people issue in general.

Also the Floyd thing was waaaaaay bigger than the Taylor one b for obvious reasons. It's not like we just decided "oh she a black woman so she matter less"

....And what it is, is more mystery around her s***. We actually saw this man killed. Of course it had a bigger reaction.

Nobody decided because she was a black woman we were more interested in george floyd.

    Wtf lol
