I was watching some yt music review video today and I found out that TikTok song "Mood" has apparently been the #1 song WORLDWIDE at one point
There had to be some kind of payola behind this song cuz I haven't heard this song anywhere else besides on the internet. S*** I've heard Despacito everywhere I go than Mood and that song is from 2017
daaamn duuude y'all gotta stop s***ten on Mood by 24kGoldn featuring iann dior bruh that song is dope asf nice lil catchy bop you know it doesnt have to be more complicated than that man how many times i gotta tell yall 24kgoldn iann dior and the kid LAROI are up next and they are the new kings of the youth stop being old heads brah just because its not uzi or carti doesnt mean its trash brah yall some straight OLD HEADS fr get in tune with the culture and start listening to the s*** that is actually poppin rn not no dinosaur s*** fr fr
Radio and MTV(music wise) is dead so hits don't feel omnipresent as they used to be.
But, for today's standards, they're still hits.
I don't even know what song you are talking about
I've never heard it
how can yall be this late
OP somewhat has a point though
Yes, streaming has made it easier for people to avoid “hit songs”
But at the same time, we’re all just getting older so that probably has more to do with it
how can yall be this late
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrAchTdepsUReminds me of that 1 wiz khalifa snoop dogg song
Songs rarely go #1 off the strength of the music no more
If you not on socials like that you not gon know whats poppin
That s*** just noise to me
Threads like this make me feel like a boomer but OP is speaking facts
My guess is through social media mostly, TikTok for sure
If kids can dance to it for validation from strangers it’s more than likely a hit.
Some songs aren't popular because of tiktok but they're on tiktok because they're popular. Some people fail to understand this, many songs were already doing super great before the tiktok boost.

ok dis a copypasta
Yeah but if you dont use tiktok or listen to the radio its pretty easy to not hear them. Nowadays you can just create your own playlists and listen to them everywhere you go basically creating your own musical bubble that you dont have to venture out of
How is it even possible to not have heard s*** this popular
What I would give you to have such an. honest and simple life. Listening to Faces while smoking a blunt and playing Warzone. No annoying roommates dragging you to do s***. Just solace.
of course you won't hear it when another kid plays the song on his spotify..
radio is dead. tv is dead. life outside doesn't exist right now.

True but if you have the #1 SONG WORLDWIDE, it should be somewhat omnipresent despite it blowing up from TikTok.

Any big song will become a tiktok meme at some point. Hate how they're giving all the credit to tiktok.

especially if you don't have a lot of friends/don't use social media
