I just said I don't believe in the two party system as it is and that American politicians are playing Black people regardless of what party. I am fully aware that all politicians are essentially the same and act more according to the interests of capitalists and corporations than the interests of the people. OP asked about what people consider to be the left which is essentially synonymous with the Democratic party in most people's minds. While acting progressive and on the side of Black people, they actually do very little for our communities collectively and play race politics to get us to vote for them in masses.

i am a white, left leaning u.s. citizen. i am anti racist because my mom raised me to be this way and i have been educated by talking to my black friends. i am not anti racist so that you or anyone will be proud of me. i think some people really genuinely do want what's best for everyone but you probably won't find them on twitter

There are people who realize that both candidates are problematic and that a two party system doesn't work. Especially a system that is allowed to receive funding from lobbyists and act in the best interests of the wealthy and corporations. But political parties are essentially cults, so there is no convincing most of their followers that there is a larger issue than the politics of the other party. Those who realize the entire system is flawed are in the minority.

Like how they view social issues?

Liberals are constrained in their approach to dealing with them because they can never allow themselves to be criticize capitalism, so they can never get to the root cause
