Yet another dumpster Gunna bar in the ether

    what?

i think what u meant to say was "another casual gunna ether"

  • Jul 10, 2023

I really don’t believe anyone has that type of power especially now, people go and find the music they like in a sea of content

  • Jul 10, 2023

Theyre trying to keep the older sound alive but it's just not possible now with the popularity that the new school has.

They don't want rap to evolve

  • Jul 10, 2023

Shout out op for mentioning veeze too

  • he gained my respect now

If old heads are in charge of the playlists, they’re not old enough

Who TF listens to playlists curated by Ebro

    iphone users

  • Jul 10, 2023

ebro annoys the s*** out of me

  • Jul 10, 2023

    this argument is so 2016

you can go on any major playlist rn and see a great representation of newer artists including uzi

If old heads are in charge of the playlists, they’re not old enough

    old head take

  • I rather have oldheads for the culture instead of creeps like Adam 22 and Ak though

Everything about Gunna is casual yes.

  • Jul 10, 2023

i think it’s more of the opposite as a shield against what you’re doing rn

ebro and joe and elliot kinda support a lot of the new stuff even if it’s wack so they don’t look washed which is somewhat understandable when you remember them niggas 40-50. I just think it’s no Ebro joe Elliot Charlamagne type that has the newest rap hipster iOS update for veeze lucki etc type niggas to be pushed lol

  • Jul 10, 2023

I don’t know anyone my age or younger that listens to curated playlists by the old radio figures

Maybe it works on older folks, but I don’t think it’s much you can do on changing peoples listening habits

I don’t like a lot of the old head takes but that Lucki and Veeze s*** has absolutely no substance. Just dudes f***ed up on d**** making music for people f***ed yo on d****. That lazy slurring s*** doesn’t sound good to normal people.

    "normal people"

curated playlists took the fun out of finding music online. it's basically the same s*** as radio now and has made the music industry pretty joyless over the last 5 or so years

My Spotify playlists are pretty fire if you want some new music

  • Jul 10, 2023

the average person nowadays does not give af about a curator. they're gonna rely on playlists or social media algorithms cuz they just want the music

  • JACKWEBVSTHEWORLD2

    He been washed since 2021

Ehh he’s phoning it in but has at least 3/4 keepers every album

He’s more of a shaderoom rapper now

    Rap caviar is a psyop

Ppl like Ebro Joe Budden and them hate the good s*** a ton like uzi yeat Faygo etc yet we let them in charge of the playlists instead of someone more tapped in like Zack Bia
Like mf why tf do Freddie mids and moneymid yo get playlisted over VEEZE or LUCKI this aint the 2010s no more this the new age.

we must remove the gatekeepers of the editorial playlists

Them and critics who are just as out of touch if not more so like melon and b****fork

I don't listen to curated playlists. But also there's no "new" rapper i know of that's making anything that matters.
Rap going the same way as rock. It's to the point where were recycling trends/concept within the genre lmao.

Nothing wrong with that but people treat this stuff like it’s high level art when it’s just fun witty d*** music

this site does this with essentially any newer artist (or any rapper they become aware of, rather) they hop on the hype bandwagon and act like these niggas are making masterpieces, hype dies down, and then they’re onto whomever else

    senseless d***riding

  • Jul 10, 2023

my nigga said he wanna be gg allen

    that s*** is weird

why are you using those in the first place

personally i am not. i am talking about music on a macro scale. the average person consumer uses them.
