Nah. Funny villains>
Mugatu
In Spectre? I feel he was promising but like he never rly had a great scene or anything. He just kinda felt like an after thought most of the time because of how off screen he was most of the film.
Nah I’m talking Inglorious b******s. Never seen Bond flicks like that

oh yeah hes obv GOAT in IB. Tarantino gives him several incredible scenes but most of all he gives Waltz a real purpose in the story and he is very much ingrained in everything that is going on rather than just feeling like some “villain” that were supposed to fear.
This is the best example of what you're describing @op
Villains always be drinking milk

And you would say he has a real purpose to the story being he's the person tasked to hunt the Jews?
Absolutely not
He didn't do anything. Imagine if he killed people for clout like his character suggest. Then it would've been cool. Instead he's just a boring old guy
Landa was really scary
He was polite but also extremely rude and bold
Feel me bro basically politely said he wanted to f*** the farmers daughters when he was complimenting them

That shtrudel scene was chaotic too. And the charades scene was so tense it was like 30 minutes of will they won't they lmao.

Yessir, QT had some great suspenseful moments in that film
honestly heath ledger joker was polite imo
He tried to blow up a boat of innocent women and children
Steven Yeun in Burning is my favorite recent example of this. Had me constantly irritated because he seemed overly polite lol

That’s one element but they allow him to have his own personality and impact on every scene he shares and even make him feel less generic by the end when he decides to act outside of the confines of his role when he tries to find a way to get out of his current situation. It makes him feel like more of a genuine character rather than your typical bad guy
Gus Fring the goat type of villain tbh
You just really felt his presence and menace w/o him being outwardly evil
I never outright considered Gus a villain but if he is, it’s definitely him
He tried to blow up a boat of innocent women and children
HE TOOK HIS TIME THO OK!!!
he knew Batman was gon save the day anyway
