been rocking with trav since dbr and i honestly think astroworld is his best album. i just feel the nostalgia is so high with trav when he dropped dbr and rodeo... it was a refreshing sound to the scene that grabbed a lot of curiosity.

astro just feels like he took elements of everything he's done and packaged it in to something more accesible and refined whilst still staying true to his sound

I remember seeing Lights/Lovesick on a tumblr blog and been hooked ever since. I remember goin crazy when they played Quintana on MTV2 in the morning. I wanted to be that nigga. Then 2016 came and I was a Kevin abstract stan for the next year or so

meanwhile what made people like Travis in the first place was that his sound was different

I remember him saying on .WAV radio the day BITTSM dropped, that his approach to music has essentially been the same for every project. The blueprint is the same. I feel like if you’re a real fan you’d be able to tell that DBR builds directly off of the sound of Owl Pharaoh with a few added elements that he picked up since, then Rodeo builds off of the sound of DBR and OP, etc.

This is why I feel like Astroworld and Rodeo are pretty much neck and neck. When I listen to Astroworld I can’t help but get the feeling that it’s the exact album Travis wanted to make since the beginning of his career. It’s everything he was supposed to be

Former Travis fan. I still have the owl pharaoh demos on my old laptop. Not really into his music these days however.

People have always hated Travis

good times, i remember when i stayed up all night cus travis claimed op was dropping, then he only dropped that horrible p**** track with gunplay and fredo santana and been trill tags all over it

most of the ogs overgrew his music. it just don't hit the same as when i was 16. and he didn't really keep evolving or try doing something different after rodeo

Trav ran 2018 for the masses but real ones know he also ran 2015
