Classics on classics, Animals, A***ogue, etc
Then he dropped upper echelon and we lost him
Thankfully all his projects have hints of what made him so unique in the beginning
Nothing will ever top D**** You Should Try It, Skyfall, Mamacita and 90210 for me though. The Pick Up the Phone snippet was ridiculous too

Yup that’s when he perfected his sound
Whenever “Nothing But Net”came out is when I became a fan
forgot about this one, and high fashion
The hate is fasho forced but what else can u do
Just wait it out, they’ll do the same to whoever their favs are now
Been fan since sin city days
When he dropped owl pharaoh
Summer 2012 maybe
Seen him perform live 11 times, for each album/tape
I’m kind of over him now he hasn’t changed up his style in years. The kids (white kids) embraced him.
Which is great for the youth but for me that just pushes me away.
Ps. I kind of lost it when his Netflix doc came out and the dude was saying how Travis saved his life. Travis was never THAT deep.
most of the ogs overgrew his music. it just don't hit the same as when i was 16. and he didn't really keep evolving or try doing something different after rodeo
Yeah I think this is it. I assume most of us were 16-21 at the time and not to say we we're mature now but s*** really just doesn't hit the same and we've just moved on in more ways than just music preference.
@BernieX mentioned Astroworld is the amalgamation of everything Travis is, which is why we all know it sounds good, but we've been riding the sound hard for so long it became too predictable/expected almost.
I don't think he's evolved as much as just refine his formula over and over again. Mike Dean on synths, autotuned spacey vocals, make that s*** dark, and some good drums. Abel heading for the same thing tbh.

I listened to Owl Pharaoh and s*** like that when it was released but I still wasn’t feeling him like that. Nothing But Net was my moment with Travis.
OG but afta Astroworld.. Ima former fan. All tha verses and songs during dat era and afta 2-nahhhh-
That b**** crazy put me on to him and soon after that lovesick and sin city, been following close since then, have all his collab tapes before owl pharaoh and all the leaks etc. Astroworld was dope but he’s compromised his sound so much to appeal to mainstream, wish he’d make another owl pharaoh or rodeo and stop trying to make generic trap like the majority of artists out. He’s young tho I feel like he’ll get that creative spark again

Yeah you pretty much hit it right on the head. A lot of the guys on here in 2015 have moved on with their lives and that’s not necessarily a bad thing
if you were genuinely a fan of lovesick era travi$ i dont see how you wouldnt view his current output as repetitive/uninspired. dude had so many different sounds before he settled on his current blend of thugger & quavo vibes. post rodeo, everything sounds more or less the same to me.

it was different then because nobody that we know was really doing it besides him. even his voice was lil diff back in 2012-2013 along with the effects he'd put in it.
I actually miss his adlibs that he used often at the time. it's lit, straight up, la flame...in a more deeper tone
all these mfs claiming to be day one fans but i dont remember seeing any of yall in the jacques webster chat
Former Travis fan. I still have the owl pharaoh demos on my old laptop. Not really into his music these days however.
Remember when he tried to tell people the link to those was a virus? Lmfaooooo
