Nope. Generic beats are over. Despite the fact that he’s trash, the reason why I could never enjoy 69’s music is because his production was just the worst. Some songs felt like a nice drop was coming for 3 minutes but it’d never come

    So much subpar production nowadays.

Trap beats are dope but i dont like the generic ones.

Gunna been using the same beat for 4 years

The problem is that 95% are the generic s*** that sounds exactly the same. I agree creative trap beats can be cool but most just sound like the same s***, add auto tune and you have pretty much every talentless rapper out there covered

69s beats were far from generic though

True, they had potential, but still bad.

Bad production has always been over though it's nothing new.

Artists that actually use creative trap beats.

    Post Malone
    Young Thug
    Travis Scott
    Uzi

Those 4 use trap beats that aren’t generic. Now SMF Thug used some generic ass trap beats but prior to that his beats were creative.

There are alot of rappers that use non-generic trap beats but the generic ones took over the market.

I wish. S*** just keeps on going and keeps sounding autopilot.

As long as they do something different and aren’t that same flute or piano s***, they’re fine

ill tell you whats over: my marriage of 10 years

Serious question, does anyone actually still f*** with trap beats these days? I mean they had their run but most sound so generic now. For example, I f*** with Boldy James on alchemist beats but I just checked out some of his non alchemist stuff on AM (Latr) and it’s just so generic and trash. Same thing with Benny the butcher, one of my current favourite artists but his 1 on a 1 mixtape is so f***ing bad and it’s all down to s***ty trap beats. I know there are still people putting out albums with good trap songs like future for example but for the most part trap being the go to sound needs to stop imo. When you hear the generic ass trap beat kick and and then you hear the auto tune you know you’re about to get some mid😂

Give me credit for this idea bro, I know you saw my post on the new Swae Lee thread and made this thread
