Seemingly, this is just something people say when they get older, regardless of the state of the world. The implication is to not take people seriously when they talk about how the world is going to s***.
this time around tho, is it different? should we actually be worried now? social stats suggest there might be something serious brewing fr. record high loneliness, depression, etc.
Life is way worse and it has nothing to do with us getting older.
Covid made it way worse (more ppl are introverted and more stressed esp younger gen)
Economy is s***
Unaffordable housing
Rising inflation
Climate Change is happening at a fast rate(hottest summer).It's going to get worse. The only ppl living it up are trust fund babies/incredibly wealthy.
