Yall really do pick and choose when you like Fantano

Nah, I don't mind Fantano. I disagree at times but he always explains himself. Plus Fantano probably a bigger Kendrick fan than me and I couldn't agree more with his review.

    Elaborate brother.

Every black man that does his blackness in a way we deem inferior is always criticized as the enemy or being help. I’m not about to give credit to white people for a Compton black man that decided he wanted to do music and excelled with positivity. Only two black men have reached this plateau with positivity and no gimmicks. Cole and Kendrick snd im not gonna allow myself to make it seem like they are some sell out.

I’m good on that narrative. Y’all can run with it.

calling someone the "black version" anybody is white-coded linguistics.

Signed to the same record label, both appeal to the same crowd who otherwise wouldn't listen to hip-hop.

Drake been supplying soundtracks to parties, clubs, cookouts, get togethers, vibe sessions, weddings that will be ingrained in everyone's memories forever, that is far more important to the public than some outdated so-called prestigious award that wanted to be hip, if anything it should have went to TPAB as that's the singular greatest hip hop album of all time, no?

Kendrick is a dude from Compton. Of course his discourse isn’t perfect. He has explained himself multiple times in interviews. He has given back more than enough. He has stood up to police violence. We just conveniently forget all of those things and remember what we want. He explicitly clarified that line was about him. And how he grew up wanting to kill black people and now he is mourning a black persons.

The same system that allows Trayvon to get killed and Zimmerman get off

Is the same system that encourages black on black. Violence.

Didn't he semi backtrack on those statements? And please provide me some sources for him giving back, I just personally haven't seen it,

Pulitzer Prizes are not as important as 'vibe sessions'

Drake has classic songs for all occasions but he hasn't had a classic album in a long time. Talking about classic albums you gotta look at the album as a whole, and casual settings like that don't really play albums front to back

  • Apr 1, 2020

In all honesty can't y'all just enjoy the music and not seek validation from others?

More than half of KTT hates AWT, not gonna stop me from liking it.

Why would the media show a black man giving back? Of course you never heard about it because that’s not what they want to be seen. You should know this.

They praise GKMC because it was a nigga boy doing nigga s***

As soon as TPAB came they criticized it called it critic bait because it was a nigga realizing his potential

    Don’t sleep.

And his interview with rob mark man he said he wrote that third verse for him.

One of the many times he has given back :https: //www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/kendrick-lamar-global-citizen-festival-2016/

But anyway I digress I’m good on the hate of kendrick for secular reasons

You might think damn isn’t a classic but he isn’t being pushed as some messiah to black folk to pull the wool over our heads.
