    EDIT: are we not free enough? personally i hate all the red tape you have to go thru to start certain businesses but to an extent i understand why it is the way it is

    As an American who has spent about half his life living overseas in countries that are not "free" (Venezuela, China, Vietnam) I can say we are definitely not "too free" in America. Also based on some of the responses in this thread it sounds like a lot of you don't realize/ appreciate the freedoms you do have

    If you run into someone, literally just dipping from the scene is actually a viable option

    In China if you run into someone you are responsible for their care for their lifetime, which ends up being much more expensive than paying the compensation for killing the person so it's not uncommon for people to literally throw the car in reverse and re-run people over to kill them

    Countries in the middle east and some other parts of the world don’t even let women show skin, drive cars, or vote. yet women in the US think they’re being persecuted on the daily because some creepy guy at the bar is hitting on them or their instagram post got flagged for nudity

    Yeah we’re too free, I wouldn’t change it tho
