i’m at the age where i can’t relate to artists who are younger than the legal drinking age in the US, rapping about sneaking into their girl’s room hoping her parents don’t find out or whatever the kids rap about these days. and rap about thotties feels super corny when you have a long term partner.

if that makes me an old head, so be it. it is what it is.

No. Rap is just trash now. I find that most people I know, including me, are just exploring other genres

  • Oct 10, 2023

Nah I love new music I just want something different

We went to deep into trap/drill like we did every version of it in the mainstream for a decade now. Same with boom bap s***. We need something new to shake up the genre bc we reheating the same food right now

If you’re not into zoomer rap it isn’t because you’re an old head. Old heads were people from 10 years ago who rave about the 90s being the “golden age” of rap that can still be found today. It’s simply not my problem that new rappers aren’t emerging and bringing forth good music and I’m not going to let zoomers gaslight me into thinking im an old head if I don’t listen to their derivative and soulless music

alot of rap nowadays is just lazy and trendy to me. KanKan the only one I like from the entire underground scene (that's if we not counting Lucki anymore which I don't) the rest just sounds derivative of Carti or Thug. It's crazy how they ALL rap over the same beats use the same flows same bars same everything I don't get it.
