Man that s*** was so f***ing depressing, i dont know how anybody listened to that s***. It made me wanna kms.

There'd be a new coloured hair kid every week 2017-2018, making the same s***ty emo music. It was such a vibe killer when that s*** came up on playlists.

Some of them died (Lil Peep, Juice Wrld, XXX) others fell off hard (Lil Xan, Trippie Redd, Lil Skies, Matt Ox, Jumex etc)

Are you glad that s***ty period of rap is over?

    Should’ve been Brag rap

If I had still been in high school when it broke through I probably would have fw it, but it's just too melodramatic for me now. It's definitely music for a specific mindset and if you're not in it, it's not good.

at a certain point it was unique but then it got oversaturated by clones. so yeah. i'll appreciate that it went as long as it did bc even though i was tired of it at the point i'm glad i at least got juice wrld to bring it back up and close the chapter. if not the best then he was definitely the biggest commercially and his come up was so quick

Trippie, Peep, Juice and XXX were all pretty good

So glad that Uzi didn’t try to keep making Xo tour life type songs

  • Jun 6, 2020

I liked it, but I hope that it coming to an end breeds a new era of creativity in the scene.

Wouldn’t call him emo rap tho. He made a couple heartbreak songs cause that’s what he was going through at the time
