Man that s*** was so f***ing depressing, i dont know how anybody listened to that s***. It made me wanna kms.

There'd be a new coloured hair kid every week 2017-2018, making the same s***ty emo music. It was such a vibe killer when that s*** came up on playlists.

Some of them died (Lil Peep, Juice Wrld, XXX) others fell off hard (Lil Xan, Trippie Redd, Lil Skies, Matt Ox, Jumex etc)

Are you glad that s***ty period of rap is over?

There’s a emo rapper named Jumex? 🤣🤣 u mean like the Mexican fruit nectar drink?

    Yes and no

If peep was still putting out music it would be fire but when the biggest artists in the genre dies the genre itself especially like that won't stay around for long

All of them had emo rap and edgy depressing songs

2pac more on the suffering, poverty, and misery side

Biggie and Big L just edgy, overall 2pac's songs hit harder.

This song used to hit hard when I lived in the hood in poverty in high school and still hits hard today

Already got me misty eyed with past memories

A handful of songs does not make them “emo rap” lol we all know they weren’t considered that back then and they aren’t now.

Yep. Couldn’t tell who was actually depressed and fighting demons versus who was just a junkie selling an image.

  • Jun 7, 2020

    Trippie still got it imo
