in my eyes yes. parents are both immigrants and came over to the U.S. Dad went to college, mom didn't, and they live a comfortable life. Growing up, life was fine, didn't have to worry about food and would go on vacations. They are my motivation to do well, given their past circumstances.

My dad has worked in construction his whole life, makes good money, low six figures.

My mom at the height of her career was making around the same as my dad, she was presented with an opportunity to make wayyyy more money but she'd have to spend a lot of time in Europe and I had just been born at the time so she didn't take it and in fact just quit all together.

Both my parents immigrated from what could be considered a third world country and though neither of them became rich they both made enough money to live independently without any assistance. I consider that succesful.
