'israeli' shipments to azerbaijan might be used to support possible invasion of north iran, but I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to try and occupy southern armenia to connect their enclave as well

    Where’s the outrage??

The state department isn't backing Azerbaijan to my knowledge. Their opposition is mainly rhetorical I'm sure, but it's a very different situation from the US arming and supporting Israel every step of the way for decades.

Also, I don't think Azerbaijan cares about their internet presence. Israel actually does. They are incredibly PR conscious. They want the appearance of popular support and a lot of Americans have deep convictions about giving them that. Especially ones in positions of power who are very vocal.

Idk, I get updated on this conflict as well as the Tigray stuff in Ethiopia but there's no reason to post about it. I never see grass roots support for the bad guys in those situations.

Russia punishes armenia because armenia wasn’t a faithful enough vassal

Europe ignores armenia because can’t risk upsetting people with higher gas prices

innocent people suffer at the hands of a brutal dictator. only the most delusional or reprehensible could cap for Aliyev

    theguardian.com/business/2023/nov/08/bp-projects-have-helped-fund-azerbaijan-military-aggession-say-campaigners

BP’s fossil fuel projects in Azerbaijan have helped fund the military aggression against Karabakh Armenians though the transfer to billions of dollars to the Azerbaijan government since 2020, a campaign group has claimed.

Global Witness said Azerbaijan’s share of two large oil and gas projects operated by the British oil company had earned its government more than four times its military spending since 2020, the year that war broke out in the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

A single company could probably end this.

    We’re so f***ed man

Can you give me some more context on this?

Hate how quiet the news has been on this and I haven't been able to keep up well in the last month and a half or so and this was already something I wasn't the most informed about

Is this some kind of okay, we won't invade and annex more territory officially but here's a 'helpful and peaceful' project on paper but it's really something to dominate and surveil you to bring us closer to wiping you out?

@op I saw something about normalization, do you have any updates on what's going on right now?
