I’m really curious to see if FromSoft can keep the same level of pedigree they have now in a game outside of the Soulsborne/Elden Ring sphere.

They’ve had over a decade to iterate and perfect those games.

Yea I don't think it'll be that soon or we would've heard something officially, but maybe at game awards they announce it

If they been working on it for 6+ years tho, it has to be coming out soon

in first page. Armored Core is NOTHING like soulsborne games so I have a feeling lots of people are going to be upset when it doesn't play like a mecha dark souls lmao

Eh, it was still a Souls game structurally though.

Like, it’s very clear their work on that influenced it.

it was a ninja rhythm game with a clear narrative plot LMFAO couldn’t be further from the Souls games in most aspects, especially gameplay.

Absolutely not. Unless they completely abandon the AC franchise to cash in on Soulsborne type games, but otherwise AC plays nothing like souls games

I know what Armored Core is lol, no s*** it didnt play like Souls it was before Souls nowadays 💀💀

I played AC games & multiple FS games before Demons Souls since the PS1 lol before i even knew their name. Just said itt that Chromehounds is one of my fav games of the 360 era, Otogi series is one of my favs on the og xbox, n shadow tower on ps2. All of this is before Miyazaki & most of those old FS developers arent there anymore outside of a few.

Im saying a NEW MODERN TODAY Armored Core will probabaly be "just robot souls".

    Which isnt far fetched lmao.

Sekiro started out as a Tenchu reboot then got soulsified which became Sekiro. Which Tenchu plays nothing like Souls either originally & is where the stealth n tools gameplay came from for Sekiro. Yeah Sekiro is also diff from reg souls the most out their current titles but not by a gigantic margin, its enemy design, level design & boss design is still very much souls based while the gameplay is Tenchu x Souls with its own spin.

Not unrealistic. Its the formula the whole current company is used too & all their systems are built for.

Not hard to make AC a bit more action focused, theres rumors already that its having way more melee focused instead of just a back up button. Only difference would be sorting out more of a modern shooting mechanic along with it, which Remnant From the Ashes exists already so not impossible.

Give it crazy bosses with more of souls-y camera n layout + structured levels n its own twist then boom, "robot/scifi souls".

Which people have been begging for a good sci-fi souls game to come out. Would be a win-win for the company.

Who knows, but not out of the realm.
