The revisionist history going on itt is...mind boggling and y'all lowkey exposing yourselves. Either that or I'm really getting old cause Kiss Tha Game Goodbye and Kiss of Death were often referred as classic albums
Especially if you talking to an East Coast nigga lol
Im a west coast dude & even i know how deep the history of Lox goes, they aint popping since like the 2000s but that doesnt change their history

I grew up listening to Jadakiss. I bought The Last Kiss a few days after it came out and used to jam to it with a friend on top of his older albums.
I used to also post on SOHH and NikeTalk.com as a kid.
Never really heard much rap fans irl or hip hop forums refer to those Jada albums as bonafide classics. A lot of people liked them but if someone placed them alongside the likes of College Dropout, Blueprint, GRODT, Illmatic, etc. niggas would be stunned.
Still dope albums though.
Kendrick drops classic albums every time he drops just to uphold his legacy but Jada revisited some hit singles from the 90’s on Verzuz!

im convinced that the majority of people hyping jada up recently are only doing it because of the verzuz and the donda feat
there's no other way

Nostalgia and social media along with people thinking hip hop is dead
Jada who? I had to google it.
In the same level as Kendrick... lol lol lol
He's the one in the jean jacket with the sleeves cut

Yo Gorilla Zoe is a name I haven't heard of in years
Lotta people swore he was up next then he just vanished
Yeah s*** was weird cus he had all the makings of someone that was gonna stick around. Interesting voice. He could spit. He had signed with badboy. Idk wtf happened. Prolly some illuminati s***.
Why are the children online discussing grown man hip hop matters rn..
Ain’t there like a Kpop thread somewhere they can go play in

Kiss tha Game is usally considered a rappers rapper classic and kiss of death is usually considered a classic, especially when talking to more east coast people.
But he was never gigantic outside of Lox albums, dmx/puffy collabs & kiss of death.
He's a huge inspiration to a lot of rappers tho. A "Rapper's rapper".

Even now, most hip hop heads will say Jada solo work is decent, respectable. However it’s a not a taking point when discussing him. It’s more about his rapping skills.
He was supposed to be the one after GKMC smh. He comes off as a guy that everything has to be perfect for him to rap, lame. It’s also disappointing he didn’t not drop any music during the pandemic/George Floyd era. He was the perfect voice but didn’t decide to drop anything, I haven’t forgotten about that. His act is getting annoying.
you’re an inept c*** i aint even the biggest kendrick fan but you’re using black death as a reason to s*** on him not dropping the nigga was at a rally and you want him to drop another song about racism good lord he already got enough on streaming
Also lupe been like ye last years

that guy stupid weird he in so many threads hating on bare artists making immature jokes. woat user
He's the one in the jean jacket with the sleeves cut
That line always cracked me up NIGGA ITS CALLED A VEST
The Weeknd for the past 6 years has just gone downhill compared to his classic works like Trilogy and Kiss Land. MDM showed he's still capable but he doesn't put that effort into a full album anymore and it's depressing to listen.
BBTM out now
Starboy out now
After Hours out now
The Dawn coming soon

I've been peeping the praise and I'm glad to see it but from where I'm from the Jadakiss praise has been nonstop stop since the 2000s
Granted I'm from New York so Jadakiss praise isn't unheard of. But this is really the first time I'm seeing people say Jadakiss doesn't have a classic album. Growing up Kiss of Death and Kiss tha Game Goodbye were in heavy rotation lol

I'm from NJ but I also believe that not every good album is a classic.
I don't even consider American Gangster by Jay-Z to be a undisputed classic although I consider it an arguable classic album with some of his best rapping.
Imho, if I consider the Jada albums to be on the same level as Illmatic, AEOM, MBDTF, GKMC, GRODT, OB4CL, Doggystyle, etc. I'd really have to water down the definition of classic and I'm not down with that.
I still regard Jadakiss as a rapper's rapper and a legend of course but the man doesn't have an undisputed classic album and that's fine because it's not easy to create one at all. Lil Boosie is a god to many rap fans in the Deep South but I wouldn't say Boosie has a classic album either.

Diddy got into his ass and he ain't been the same since
I will say that KTT gotta stop pretending to care about Pulitizers just because Kenny got the award tho.
