He should cry more
Ehhh I mean he’s not wrong. Maybe not the right messenger. But it’s insanely corny. Same way conscious rappers speaking on “cancel culture” is corny as hell to me. So many things going on in the world and mfs want to speak on something so nonsensical
Then stop canceling people
I mean you know what, I don't really think speaking on cancel culture is that nonsensical, since for me it's a symbol of something that started off as a weapon for oppressed that transformed into a monster that's used to f*** people up for their smallest wrongdoings (that they often outgrew) or taking things out of context just because they're not liked. I think it's a damaging trend for us all, so if someone wants to speak on that I'm fine. How you speak on it is important though.
And yeah, picking Kodak for the album gets worse the more I think about it tbh.
Kodak has some of the best highlights on the album
Durk ain't listen to that s***
Neither did Rich brian lmao
Y’all think niggas like Durk don’t rock with Kenny? Lol wait until y’all find out them niggas like more than just turn up and hard music. Wait til y’all find out most of them do in fact listen to s*** deeper and even soft s***.
When I take a step back to think about it I think it’s the consumer that annoys me the most more than the artist. I agree we have gotten to a point of people just going out of their way to find dirt on other people and ruin them and it’s ridiculous. In most cases artists don’t get canceled. We’ve seen very few examples of a career being ruined over real or false allegations of past s***. But simultaneously it’s not right either. It’s just whenever artists address cancel culture in a way of “you can’t cancel me I’ll say whatever” and then the listener response is “OH HES STEPPING UP TO CANCEL CULTURE FINALLY SOMEONE IS” it usually comes from some dude who’s probably been accused of SA or some other crazy s*** or at least in fear of it and it makes them feel like they have a voice in their corner. That’s what annoys me most I think (hope this makes sense I’m rambling)
Lol yes it usually does come from someone who has been accused of something they didn’t do. Being accused of something you didn’t do can destroy your life and leave you feeling very alone and alienated. Also, black men are often accused of things they didn’t do, particularly sexual assault. See: Emmett Till, Central Park 5, Brian Banks, Quintez Cephus, etc.
So of course people will celebrate someone being open to the idea of innocence or redemption
Wtf Kyle talking about
Everyone loves to pretend that woke, just look at KTT

Lol I bet he can't name 5 Kendrick songs
Lol I bet he can't name 5 Kendrick songs
You only feel that way because you stereotype street niggas as 1 dimensional people.

this reminds me of when danny brown called an interviewer racist for being surprised that he likes joy division lol
this actually kinda interesting, it’s a valid critique n kendrick def sought kodak out purposely, could’ve def been provocative but i interpret in the context of humanity and our failures/search for redemption
there’s a reason to look at it critically, even w auntie diaries but closing replies shuts down any discourse

This is foolish he’s saying due to Kodak past he can’t have any redeeming quality to him which is an awful point to make about anyone
This the same nigga mad at that R Kelly credit on TSU
His tweets were all over the timeline
Lmaoo nvm
This is foolish he’s saying due to Kodak past he can’t have any redeeming quality to him which is an awful point to make about anyone
he is not saying that
or truthfully, i didn't even read the rest of his tweets, so maybe he does later, but i'm just talking about the tweet i linked.
it's a really such a clear point that it's hard to ignore
this doesn't even just apply to kendrick. it's hard to view any such act like this as anything but self serving at the expense of the victims tbh.
Who is this guy
Then stop canceling people
You’re telling this to the wrong person I literally don’t cancel anyone

You’re misunderstanding what I’m saying. It’s usually people who ARE guilty of s*** that get excited when they here someone praise a person speaking out against cancel culture. The chances of you being randomly called out as a regular citizen for something you didn’t do are extremely slim. Does that mean it doesn’t happen? No. But literally nobody innocent is walking around scared every day they might be next to get canceled. From a celebrity pov it makes sense because one small rumor will look like the truth no matter what proof you have it isn’t

makes perfect sense. you hit the nail on the head
most mfs who get “cancelled” aren’t even really canceled. Twitter makes fun of them for a week and said famous person continues to receive opportunities and have a good career. yet celebrities complain like it’s the worst thing in the world
