Like these artists that come out with “social anxiety” as soon as they come out. As if people really living with that s*** don’t struggle to admit it to themselves.. let alone the whole world

Or when artists tweet lonely, weird depressed stuff and act like they’re awkward or strange in pics or interviews for the relatability of it and engagement of fans

Do y’all take issue with the blatant “weirdness posing” or “mental illness sympathy posing” artists seem to pull more and more to humanize them and make you root for their success..

Or is it here say to be expected or smart marketing?

it is fun to have empathy for people and give them the benefit of the doubt that they may be experiencing genuine mental or emotional trauma/illnesses instead of instantly assuming they're faking it for clout, yes.

People with actual anxiety have panic attacks.

  • Or... being a music artist is a s***ty profession for mental health & has a direct correlation with illness 👍

And some people are capitalizing on that fact to market themselves..

I’m bothered by people using someone’s real struggle as a cash grab on some level but not overly..

Just curious what others think about it

You’re weird for going into attack mode off the rip for asking a question I’m curious about

Won’t lie and act like it doesn’t seem like some people love the whole aesthetic that goes along with it. I mean I see it all over ig.
