    No it’s not lol

look at where AI images where just 2-3 years ago

they been researching machine learning since the 60s gang, we just got here after they finally started incorporating machine learning in business 2011/2012 and putting out the public data for companies like openAI to create a tool like chatGPT for you and I to use publicly in the 2020s lol

    it’s gonna be a longtime

you don’t even know if it’s heading in that direction

completely generated AI music may not ever be valued and it may not ever be as good as human made music, but again what’s the point of talking about this when that is not the issue at hand

the real issue is letting ghostwriters slide in hip hop, AI is just a scapegoat in this whole thread

This is already the case in other fields, man. What other direction would we be heading?

ghostwriters in hiphop does nothing to explain AI being used to replace human creativity across any genre, medium, etc

AI will never have human nuance. it will always inevitably be detected

Right, but the rate of acceleration for how advanced the AI is becoming has increased dramatically.

lmfao have a good day man

so if a tool that just got public access in 2020 has been exponentially grown to the point we are today in a few short years where companies are hearing people’s massive complaints and putting in place methods to detect AI which also takes time to create and establish

what more do you want in proving that AI will not be our overlords as human needs and nuance always win?

that’s literally been their biggest challenge in even developing robots is to get them to understand the indirect s*** about humans lmao

gonna be a sad day when you pick up a new instrument or start taking art classes and your friends think you’re wasting your time when chatgpt can do the “same s***” in 3 seconds.

I think you need better hypothetical friends cause none of my friends would ever be that stupid

You said AI will never have human nuance, and I’m saying it’s already at a point where social media platforms need to step in and clarify what is and isn’t AI. that’s the argument here. It’s clear that for a lot of people, currently can’t discern between whats AI and not.

wont feel as stupid as AI art continues to be validated im afraid

  • inspoeater

We didnt have synths in songs for decades so why should we allow it just because it’s there?

braindead false equivalence is crazy. you niggas are insanely uneducated, it’s embarrassing

If you already against AI whatever I say is gonna be wiped away with the second half of your second sentence lmao

But im just saying, without even getting into going down a list and debating the validity of each thing lol, its silly to write off a whole entire movie with thousands of man hours of work as “ew it uses AI” because they used AI to generate unique background window glares, bricks on buildings or clouds lmao. People do that based off of an internet bandwagon when actual artists just use it as a tool to be more efficient lol

dude asked you a question in good faith and you refuse to answer it based on some wording you didn’t like lmfao. and everything you did suggest is not only intrinsically lazy but is built with stolen artwork. ai bootlickers are cringe as f***, can’t wait for all y’all to show your true colors in this thread so i can block yall

im not even saying that there aren’t potentially benevolent uses for it. it can be neat for audio restoration and hearing an artist’s voice over a song they didn’t make as a fan made neat gimmick is cool sometimes as long as it’s in good taste. but you niggas show how little you care about art on a dime with the way you talk about it and don’t even mean to

Validating it on what level? I will give it credit it's made some very polished well presented vapid meaningless crap but it's impossible for AI to come up with something thoughtful and unique, it's hard (and rare) for human artists to do it

It'll always feel very fundamentally stupid to me, not worth putting thought or energy into

I agree with your point of view on how AI won't be able to translate "soul" but most artists can't do that already so I don't pay attention to them, and I'll do the same for the new computer generated junk

yes a normal person can’t, but the medium through which the art has to be put through to get to you and me is also being viewed by people who can detect it is AI and the more people are exposed to it, the clearer they see it’s AI. so in a few years I won’t be surprised when you can’t even upload something AI generated without it being instant detected

my dad was watching an AI story. I told him this is AI and pointed out to him why and all of a sudden his mind could see it everywhere and he started skipping AI videos immediately that were even hard to catch at times

the human brain learns quickly and there’s something about the computer generated item that is just not real

even most kids prefer a human model explaining how to do something versus a cartoon character after they pass that lala land 3-6 age

U never heard the phrase vote with ur ears?

  • I mean this was where streaming was always gonna take us. Devalued music so much that young listeners don’t even choose what they listen to much less care.

    AI can’t “create” anything new

  • hayabusa

to no ones surprise this bird brain site is disagreeing with this take somehow

    NGL that's crazy

  • Begging y’all to just own your music locally instead of borrowing it from a corporation.

I agree that AI can’t generate new ideas, because it’s based on human work.

and yeah, it’s somewhat rare for artists to do so as well, but it still happens. And because it happens, genre evolves, new techniques and ideas are shared, art progresses.

wouldn’t it be more bird brain to blindly agree as opposed to engaging in an open conversation acknowledging both sides to create a space for more information to be discovered by you and me or we find something in the effort to defend our stance? ain’t that how discussions and debate goes?
