Tbh Long Live is the real underrated Rocky project. This release was way better and fulfilling than Testing was

I never wanted to be like a rapper as much as I wanted to be ASAP Rocky in 2011

was the first time in my life that I f***ed w a rapper more cause of his aesthetic than his writing/music

Breh asap rocky had me sick as f*** no lie. I was super into odd future so when they started to beef, which was really early on in rockys run, i was like f*** asap. Then i got into purrp heavy. But secretly was just obsessed ngl cause he was seriously burning up and so f***in nice. Bars, melody, style, visuals, charisma. Cosigns from rakim. F***ing rihanna. Best skrillex rap collab. Mans was seriously unstoppable at that time

Also when Rocky first came into the game he was like the last of a dying breed

Old enough to have a genuine appreciation and knowledge of all the old 90s/00s rap music and wasn’t afraid to give props to his OGs

While still being young enough to hang w the new generation and f*** w all the new sounds and young rappers w/o looking like an old dude trying hard to be young and hip

A lot of ppl believe Rocky was supposed to be where Travis is now but I don’t believe so personally. Travis a little more versatile

Yall wanna say Ye inspired every f***ing rapper that came after him lol.

    Rocky is Rocky.

Only thing him and Ye have in common was a passion for fashion that they put into the music.

    That's it.

Rocky's influences are way more eclectic then just saying hes doing Kanye homages.

    Stop it

Feel you on the ye stanning but at the same time youre out your mind trying to take kanye out of the rocky conversation. Makes no sense. dude’s fashion and aesthetic endeavors were a direct result of people like virgil, heron preston, and the fashion world in general, needing someone who came from the rap world but wasnt as hard to handle as kanye.

Not to mention the entire leather and gold aesthetic was from WTT tour

Why would anyone who was a true artist want to be where travis scott is haha???

A lame ass copy of kanye w no respect for tradition, total turncoat b****** who screwed everyone on the way up, doing collabs with mcdonalds and reeses talking about “poppin pills is all we know” LMAO

And he doesnt even make his own music haha

Asap rocky is not trying to be where travis scott is

i think if he'd continued going hard on features like he was during that era and dropped something every year like travis his peak wouldve been similar to travis

I believe he will be at a schoolboy Q level for the rest of his career unless he is able to drop something that will make people care about him again
