Y’all not listening to what Soulja saying but he right. Niggas really don’t be talkin bout nothing bro just be bullshit. Talk about how we can make more money
Lowkey Soulja is right what is Rocky even taking about?
white ppl the majority in the world so that’s a given but i can tell you only a few shows i’ve been too been mostly white and they can afford the s***
lil baby in 2018 even after the drake feature was barley white ppl there
Like it ain't even a knock to artists. You got these music festivals and concerts for big name artists costing people like hundreds and s***. The people who are most likely able to afford going to that s*** are white people. That's just reality. You'll see Black and Brown people in the crowds for like underground rappers and singers and s***, but once they start popping off and those ticket prices and venues start costing more, the crowd is gonna be much different.
Also it depends on genre of course. Like a Bad Bunny concert is obviously gonna be filled with more Black and brown people, ya know Afro-Latinos and all that than a Drake concert.
This sounds like one of those surface levels takes you think of in the shower to sound deep
Rap is its best place ever and Only a casual would say it’s stuck in adolescence
Best place ever could be a stretch but yea it’s not what he thinks it is.
You must love white people
There are these things called Google Images and YouTube that let's you see the crowds of these concerts and festivals.
"CARMICHAEL: It’s natural. Haven’t you laughed at the lowest moments? I’ve been in really devastating situations, and laughed because something just broke through to me.
ROCKY: Yo, no bullshit. The day Yams died, me and A$AP Lou found him and he wasn’t responsive. We ran to the kitchen to get water, ice, s*** like that. I got to the kitchen first, and I could see into the hallway. I’m at the sink pouring water, and I look down the hall and see Lou running to help me grab some ice to wake Yams up. It was like a cartoon—my man tripped and slid down the hall on a carpet like Aladdin, bro. He went from the living room and slid all the way to the kitchen. I’m literally dying crying, but I’m crying from laughing, and I’m crying ’cause Yams is dead."
RIP Yams man. NYC's last great hip hop A&R
damn this hits hard (and like he says is both sad and funny)
imo rocky is always a great interview, of course he says silly s*** but he always has one or two amazing stories to drop in
10 pages 4 this bait??
not everything needs 2 be engaged with intellectually

I mean with streaming you can discover as many new artists as you want and give exposure to sub genres that traditionally got no love
Then you have band camp which allows for a more intimate fam artist relationship and allows some smaller artists to keep working without compromising artistic integrity to keep a roof over their head
@Gangstalicious (Didn’t want to clog up thread posting twice)
This is such an anodyne interview why are people getting worked up about this s*** he was supposed to be studying Jeru the Damaga or something?
nigga brought up his age like he was 50.
Testing was still mostly about what he usually raps about, which is money, hoes, being fly/jiggy.
that's what I said
I’m crying at the fact that Soulja said a whole lot of nothing while also attacking the idea that Niggas ain’t talking about nothing lmao
Feel like he is completely wrong. This the first time in the history of rap where you have an era of “elder statesmen” still being able to put out music to older fans, and even book shows in the states to continue making money at 35+ years of age.

Soulja right tho WTF is Rocky talking about bruh is f***ing washed LMAO who is he to even say anything about anything especially the current state of rap
You can also tell who is sensitive as hell over what Rocky said itt cause he ain't saying he don't make the kinda music that he's talking about. I'm sure he is fully aware he was apart of the same group of adolescent and braggadocious rappers who came up with the rise of the internet and self-releasing. The nigga knows exactly what he's talking about because he essentially is what he's talking about. He witnessed the s***
yeah this is pretty much how I took it. folks are always trying to find the shade in something instead of examining the context of an artist’s words
It seemed like he was simply pointing out the politics and commercial expectations of the industry that he is in yet people are trying to turn it into a Rocky/Soulja beef
