it’s not a classic but electric circus is a great album and he really challenged himself
It was definitely overhated. He tried something different and it didn’t land all the way, but it was better then some people give it credit for.
It gets left out of the conversation a lot because it’s pidginholded between Like Water For Chocolate and Be which are both absolutely brilliant albums.
in my opinion he is one of the GOATs idk where he ranks but just musically he’s one of the greatest to ever do this all things considered
I think as he gets older too
He will start to get even better
Frank Ocean has left the chat.
im really upset it took me so long to appreciate blonde’s greatness i missed out. i hope frank is doing well his brother passing away probably f***ed up a bunch of his plans

endless is really good and a nice project/piece of art but it’s not a classic imo
Three 6 classics:
Jay Z
Outkast
A Tribe Called Quest
Kendrick Lamar
Kanye West
2Pac
MF DOOM
Ice Cube and Dr Dre are in this two w 2 solos and Straight Outta Compton
My 3 or more classics club in rap , probably missing some folks
No 4:44 ? Also AG is crazy
AG might be crazy but it really shouldnt be, album is nearly flawless
I don’t think it’s a classic. I think it’s a very good project though.
But I’m also very critical with what I give the “classic” title to. It’s either gotta have the impact in the culture or it’s gotta be a really really really amazing album.
What would you consider to be classics? I'm always interested to hear what people who very rarely give out 10/10s rank as the best albums

He will start to get even better
yeah trav really embraces collaboration well. my cousin who isn’t totally into music like i am but will listen to whatever i send him when dbr came out he was like “wait travis can produce but he linked up with metro, 808, and all these atlanta producers? he could be as good as he wants to be” like the guy is so good with just being creative despite the biting and stealing allegations
endless is really good and a nice project/piece of art but it’s not a classic imo
Its too niche, would def be considered one if it was on streaming
Blonde and Endless might be 2 classics tbh
Blonde definitely
Channel Orange and Blonde are both classics for sure
Blonde might be one of the most influential albums of the 2010s. I’ve heard the DNA of that album in alot of artists music in the bedroom pop
and Indie Pop/Rock genre.
SZA in particular takes so much influence from Frank in her writing and delivery it’s crazy. Obviously she makes it distinctive enough to not be a bite, but his influence is definitely there.

slide on me, comme des garcons, and higgs are always in rotation for me

Yeah I think Blonde is the most cemented album of the 2010s
He really doesn't have to drop again
Nas:
Might really be stretching “rap” here but hey
Real nigga! 3 of the best albums ever

common low key has like a top 3 all time diss track btw
El-P:
Nas:
I don’t know if I’d really call any of the Nas x Hit-Boy collabs aside from Magic 1 maybe as classics.
I think they all hit except for Magic 2, but classic is such a revered word.
El-P:
I think you’re just listing albums you like
Yeah I think Blonde is the most cemented album of the 2010s
He really doesn't have to drop again
no he doesn’t and he’s done well enough financially that he’s set even before channel orange dropped he drove a bmw x6 and lived in a nice part of LA
