I personally think it’s overly bloated with filler content and the combat is bad. The game just doesn’t respect your time and I hate it for that. Some people are into time-wasting games though

Is syndicate any good?

Origins is good but it takes a bit to get used to.

Odyssey is kinda good kinda bad and a MASSIVE time sink. I like it but i get why people dont and i dont know if it should be recommended to anyone who isnt just addicted to the franchise. Valhalla is supposedly even bigger. I played it around covid so time is wonky and honestly, I barely remember anything from that game.

Tbh odyssey and valhalla arent even assassins creed games.

My opinion, go to origins. I personally like unity but I get why people dont.

Origins is pretty good. Bayek is one of the most badass MCs, the backdrop is fantastic, and the game blends myth and Assassins Creed-ness well.

Odyssey is probably the most wasted potential ever. The game is f***ing beautiful, some of the islands, some of the missions etc. but it’s a f***ing endless pit of slop content. I’m pretty sure there are times where it basically soft locks you out of main missions because your level isn’t high enough so you have to grind elsewhere.

Valhalla - I echo @Bo_Ceephus sentiments - that game is also LONG as s*** but I can barely remember anything from it.

Origins > Odyssey > Valhalla

If there was some sort of guide to not waste 100 hours in odyssey I’d prob be willing to play it but even just looking at it it doesn’t look like AC at all

Signed up for ubisoft plus on pc and started playing but I guess patch 1.04 broke the first town. Whenever you parkour the frames dip down to single digits. Hit the ground its full speed.

On the last mission of the remake now. It's a good game. I enjoyed it alot more then when it first came out.

I never got over the "its a pirate game not an ac game" but since theyve done something like that like 3 times now it was easier to get over.

One thing Im still astounded at is just how good it looks. Lot of great outfits but Edward's default just looks incredible in the remake.

The rpg combat is not that fun and f*** i hate sponges. It makes me hate games instantly.

Like I get the first games felt easier, but i like the power fantasy of being a deadly killing machines with sick ass animations.

Make it much easier to die while being able to counter and kill.

There’s a way to make the early AC combat interesting and fun to play. Rocksteady did it with Arkham knight. Just evolve and expand upon that. That simple

RPG style combat is not anymore challenging and it’s super clunky. The smooth, free flow combat was so satisfying and cool to watch. You really fought like an assassin

But there lies the problem: in-AC games are not about assassins anymore

Really like how they convey the subtle racism of that era with Adewale.

I just played Nexus and it is really surreal to parkour across rooftops and stab someone with a hidden blade up close.

What is nexus
